SurfGate is a cloud communication, power-saving gateway router that is compatible with all types of IoT (Internet of Things) and IIoT needs. In addition to conventional Ethernet, RS485/232 serial ports, and wireless LAN, it can also has an option to support EnOcean and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), providing a rich interface for connecting various types of sensors and actuators.
Surfwave IOT GatewayThe device features data format conversion for IoT applications such as JSON and CSV and supports commonly used Modbus TCP and BACnet IP protocols in the FA/BA field, enabling high-speed synchronous connections with SCADA/PLC/controllers.
With GPS functionality and a design built to withstand vibration and impact, it is highly suitable for tracking logistics and transportation. Its embedded power-saving design allows for excellent energy efficiency, enabling operation with low power consumption.
The SurfGate supports LTE Cat4 cellular networks across all main carrier frequencies, and its cloud connection implementation allows for flexible settings of transmission formats and frequencies. Furthermore, it is capable of functioning in both wireless LAN AP mode and Client mode, enabling versatile connections.
The device is equipped with a proprietary device management system, enabling centralized management and control of devices. It offers various VPN support (IPsec/OpenVPN/SSTP) and comprehensive firewall features for secure communication, ensuring reliability through compliance with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) reliability tests. The user-friendly UI screen makes configuration and operation straightforward to use.
The device can be integrated into the Aquarius MAS (Management & Automation System) architecture for use onboard ships or used for other applications to enable additional sensor & data inputs to be connected plus be used as part of a ship to shore communications link.
