The Advisory Board is a group of experienced senior executives and/or professionals who review on a regular basis ongoing projects and business strategies. The current members of the Eco Marine Power Advisory Board are:
Yoshitaka Teramoto [President - Teramoto Iron Works Co. Ltd.]
Mr. Yoshitaka Teramoto is the President of Teramoto Iron Works which is based in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. He took up the role as President of the company in 2003.
Teramoto Iron Works was established by his grandfather and has now been manufacturing crane parts, ship fittings & steel structures for over 80 years.
Teramoto Iron Works has a 90% market share for marine derrick cranes in Japan and a 50% market share for manufacturing deck crane posts.
In his spare time Mr. Teramoto interests include watching movies and jogging. Mr. Teramoto is also a director of Eco Marine Power.
Hidenori Matsumoto [Certified Public Accountant]
Mr. Hidenori Matsumoto started his career with Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC in 1998. At Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC, he was mainly engaged to audit the listed companies such as Banks, Trading Campanies, Manufacturers (chemistry, aluminum, household appliance, beer, steel, and etc), Construction, Hotel, IT Industry, companies getting prepared to be listed).
He also worked in the business practice on public accounts field (incorporated administrative agency, national university corporation, public hospital, local government industry, local government inspection) and participated in establishing and revising the public accounting standards of our country.
After he resigned from Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC in 2011, he established his office (Certified Public Accountant Hidenori Matsumoto Office) in Kyushu with the experience working in as a tax accountant.
He is developing total support for companies including succession planning and business management measures using the experience he gained from conducting bank and financial institution related audits.
In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies, long driving distance and has recently started playing golf again.
Akihito Suzuki [CEO - Surfwave Inc,]
Mr. Akihito Suzuki is a technology, project management and business development professional with over 25 years experience working on assignments in Japan, Indonesia and the United States related to mobile telecommunications and mobile media.
During this period he has held a number of management and senior management roles in areas including product management, mobile terminals development global business strategy and product service planning.
In 2014 he resigned from a senior management position with a major telecommunications company in Japan to start up his own consulting firm - ELT Inc. This company provides consulting services to the mobile industry both in Japan and overseas.
In addition to having a degree in engineering, Mr. Suzuki is also a certified project management professional (PMP).
In his spare time he enjoys bicycling, swimming and travelling. Mr Suzuki is also a director of Eco Marine Power.
Greg Atkinson [Founder, President & Chief Technology Officer - Eco Marine Power]
Greg is the Founder of Eco Marine Power and is responsible for new concept designs, product development, system design, strategic alliances and marketing.
His design or concepts include the Aquarius MRE System, EnergySail, Tonbo Hybrid Ferry, Medaka Solar Eco Commuter Ferry, Aquarius Eco Ship & Aquarius Marine Robotic Vessel (MRV).
Before founding Eco Marine Power, Mr.Atkinson spent approximately 12 years in the telecommunications industry where he held senior management roles for a number of major multinational companies in Australia and Japan. During this time he managed several complex technical projects including large national mobile network deployments. He also held positions in areas such as project management, product management, product development, network support and marketing.
Prior to his career in the telecommunications sector Greg spent 10 years in the Royal Australian Navy in the electronics engineering branch and served onboard the destroyer escorts HMAS Derwent & HMAS Stuart.
Greg holds a PhD in Martime Engineering, an MBA, a B.Sc (Elec Eng) an Associate Diploma in Electronic Systems Maintenance and is a qualified radio fitter/mechanic. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (FRINA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology. (FIMarEST)
He first started working in Japan in 1997 and after several moves between Australia & Japan, finally settled in Fukuoka in 2007. (having also lived in Tokyo and Yokohama) He is originally from Sydney, Australia.
Greg is the also the Managing Director of Ohori Capital Pty. Ltd.
